rustic and shabby

Found it! I was looking for rustic and shabby...here it is...and no "no trespassing signs" in sight! Here's the result...

in the weeds

Here's my plan B - coming soon on ebay!

no trespassing

So, the inspiration came for this sweet fabric and I had a perfect spot scoped out to take pictures. As I drove by, I'd image where I'd take pictures against the amazing texture of the slightly rusty metal. UNFORTUNATELY Jillian saw this no trespassing sign. Plan B- the side of the building in the tall weeds. More to come. :)

scissors

I've had these since high school. That was my graduation present...a sewing machine and a sewing box full of goodies, including these. At the time, I wasn't really into sewing and honestly wasn't thrilled with my graduation present. :) But, since then the machine produced countless outfits and was traded in for a newer model. All the notions have come and gone, the only thing that's remained are these.
Oh and on a side note, a teacher told me that scissors actually mold to your hand after lots of use and sharpen themselves (these have never been sharpened!). She said never lend your scissors to a friend because their grip will be different and dull the blade. Who knew!?

old school action

The student ministries staff at Neighborhood Church meets "old school" action. Oh and I burned the edges a little. Doesn't it look cool? Not what you'd expect in a church photo, but hey, my guy gave me creative freedom. He's the cutie on the right. :)

waiting for inspiration

I love new fabric...they sit nicely in a pile, waiting to be cut. So, here's the stack, just waiting for some inspiration from yours truly. As of now, I've got none. :) I think I'll head to the pool with my rowdy bunch and hope it comes to me. I'll keep you updated!

Shooting me

Behind the scenes...and it's not all glamorous! I like to have a "prop" when I can, something to occupy Jillian and make taking pictures a little more fun...for the both of us. This time I used a little antique frame. The only problem is lugging it around when she's not holding it! Now is when I need an assistant. :)
